Privacy Policy

This policy applies to the Foredge PDF application for mobile devices and any related services operated by AxionX Digital Pvt Ltd. (the “Service Provider”).
The short version. Your documents never leave your device. Foredge reads, edits, signs, searches and translates your PDFs entirely on the phone in your hand — no file, file name, folder name or page content is ever uploaded, and there is no account to create.
The app does send anonymous usage statistics about which screens and tools get used. That is described in full below, and there is no way to switch it off inside the app.
What Foredge never collects
These are not “we try not to” statements. There is no code path in the application that transmits any of the following, and no server belonging to the Service Provider to receive them:
- Your documents — contents, page text, or the files themselves.
- File names, file paths and folder names.
- Your search terms. The app records that a search happened and roughly how many results it returned, never what you typed.
- Photos and camera images. Document scanning and text recognition run entirely on the device.
- Personal information — no name, email address, phone number, contacts, calendar, messages, health or financial data. There is no sign-in.
What Foredge does collect
The application uses Google Analytics for Firebase so the Service Provider can see which features are actually used and where to spend effort. What is sent:

| Device identifier | A random per-installation ID generated by Firebase. It is not your advertising ID and is not tied to your identity. |
| Device and region | Device model, operating system version, and approximate country derived by Firebase from your IP address. |
This data is pseudonymous rather than anonymous: it is not linked to a name or an account, but the per-installation identifier does distinguish one installation from another. Uninstalling the application resets that identifier.
There is no in-app opt-out
Usage statistics are collected for every installation, and the application does not offer a setting to disable them. Uninstalling stops all further collection. This is stated plainly here rather than implied, because a policy that describes a control the app does not have would be worse than saying nothing.
Permissions, and why they exist
- All files access (storage). Used to find and open PDF files already on your device, and to save documents you create or edit back to your own folders. It is not used to read, index or transmit any other kind of file.
- Camera. Requested only when you scan a document, and only at that moment. Images are processed on the device.
- Notifications. Used solely to tell you when a new PDF arrives in a folder you have granted, so you can open it. Nothing about the file is transmitted.
Network use
Apart from the usage statistics described above, the application does not connect to the network on its own. One optional feature uses the network when you choose it: the Translate tool downloads a language pack once per language, roughly 30 MB, after which translation runs fully offline on the device. Your document is not sent anywhere in order to translate it.
Third parties
One third-party service is present: Google Analytics for Firebase, described above. There is no advertising network, no tracking pixel, and no service that profiles you or follows you between applications. The Service Provider does not sell your data and does not share it for advertising purposes.
Disclosure required by law
The Service Provider may disclose collected information:
- as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process;
- where they believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect their rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;
- to trusted service providers acting on their behalf, who have no independent use of the information and who are bound by this policy.
International data transfers
Usage statistics are processed by Google on infrastructure that may be located outside your country of residence, including outside the European Economic Area. Where applicable law requires safeguards for such transfers, the Service Provider relies on the mechanisms available to it, including Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission and adequacy decisions where these apply.
Data retention
- Usage statistics: retained by Google Analytics for Firebase according to the retention period configured for the project, and in any case no longer than required for the purposes described here.
- Aggregated and anonymised data: may be retained indefinitely, as it no longer identifies any installation.
- Data required for legal compliance: retained as long as applicable law requires.
The application collects no user-provided personal data, so there is no such data to retain or return. Your documents and the app's local index of them live only on your device; uninstalling the application deletes the index, and leaves your PDF files untouched in your own folders.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export personal data held about you, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. To exercise any of these rights, contact the Service Provider at softwarebelieve@gmail.com.
Because the only identifier the application collects is a random per-installation ID with no link to your identity, the Service Provider may be unable to locate data relating to you without additional information from you.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete it, the right to opt out of its sale or sharing, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. The Service Provider does not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA. To exercise your rights, contact softwarebelieve@gmail.com.
Children
The application is not directed at children under 16, or such higher age as applicable law requires, and the Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information, contact softwarebelieve@gmail.com and it will be deleted.
Security
Data transmitted by the application is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). The Service Provider maintains physical, electronic and procedural safeguards appropriate to the limited data it processes. Your documents are not transmitted at all, which is the strongest protection available to them.
Data breach notification
If a breach affecting personal data occurs, the Service Provider will notify affected users and the relevant supervisory authorities as required by applicable law, including the nature of the breach and the steps taken to address it.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be published here with a revised effective date, and where the law requires it, consent will be sought before those changes take effect. Previous versions are available on request at softwarebelieve@gmail.com.
